How to Install FastBCP and FastTransfer

Installing FastBCP or FastTransfer is a simple process. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Download the tool: for the zip file in your "Downloads" or ask a trial on the website, you will receive a mail with the download instructions
2. Copy the zip archive in a directory : Choose a directory where the software will be decompress. C:\FastTransfer\ or /usr/var/fasttransfer/ for exemple
3. Set the ACLs (directory priviledges) to your needs if you are on a server and want several users to use the tool.
4. (Optional) Copy the previous version you may have in a directory (just in case)
5. Unzip the archive
6. For Linux user : run a 

   chmod +x FastTransfer

   or

   chmod +x FastBCP

7. (Optional) Customize setting file: You can customize the settings file in order to customize log type (file and/or database) and log sink : directory and log database. If you have an error when run FastTransfer or FastBCP with a settings file, first try without any settings file to see if the problem come from the settings.
8. Ensure you have put the licence file in a directory accessible by the user that run FastBCP/FastTransfer: By default the software will look a FastBCP.lic or FastTransfer.lic file in the same directory. You can override the default behavior by using the --license parameter that can take a file path or an url where you serve the license file content.
